I'm Marcus Baney, and I spent over a decade in Nashville's craft cocktail scene, including seven years bartending and four years managing beverage programs. My time at the legendary Patterson House taught me that excellence and approachability aren't opposites—they're partners.

At the Patterson House, we didn't make drinks to impress people. We made drinks to bring them together. The bar was small, the lighting was warm, and conversations flowed effortlessly. Guests left feeling like they'd been somewhere special—not because we were trying to be exclusive, but because we genuinely cared about their experience.

I carried that philosophy into every bar I worked, every team I trained, and eventually into founding Spec—a restaurant management platform used by top beverage programs nationwide. But something was missing. I missed being behind the bar. I missed creating experiences firsthand. I missed seeing people connect over drinks I'd made for them.

So when my wife wanted to move home to Ohio, I knew there was an opportunity to do something special, The Analog.

The name reflects our approach: analog in a digital world. Hand-crafted in an age of shortcuts. Warm and human in spaces that sometimes feel transactional. We believe the best events aren't the ones with the most Instagram-worthy moments—they're the ones where guests actually connect with each other.

Our mission is simple: bring timeless speakeasy-level quality to weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations—without any of the pretense. We want every guest to feel welcome, every drink to be exceptional, and every host to actually enjoy their own event.
